I bought the swim skirt to match a bathing suit top that I had but never found bottoms that I liked. This was great in color, functionality and fit. I received high praise from my kids on the fit and look. Therefore, I wore it on our annual family float trip and was perfectly comfortable climbing in and out of the kayak. I bought the small and may have been able to use an extra small. The quality was good and is full coverage on the butt which is important to my 60+ year old sensibilities . I am 5'3", 140 pounds and an inverted triangle body shape, so small hips. I typically wear a size 6 pant. Hope this helps.
